Mapania caudata is a rare Cyperaceae sedge from the shaded understory of Peninsular Malaysia, known for its stunning metallic blue, iridescent leaves — a structural color from natural silica in the leaf tissue, so the shimmer holds even when wet. Slow-growing and genuinely uncommon; a real showpiece for any terrarium or vivarium.
